PNW WASTEWATER SYSTEM versus CONVENTIONAL WASTEWATER SYSTEMS

Why it's worth it?

Because we realize that energy and maintenance are two major components in the cost of an installation, we work with the best water and wastewater treatment manufacturers to offer you low energy consumption and cost-effectively equipment.

Cost study: conventional wastewater treatment versus Advanced Wastewater Treatment

AMTS : System benefits - Cost comparisons

PNW wastewater systems can meet all existing or proposed waste Effluent Regulations very Cost-Effectively. Natures own system and this system have a lot in common. Almost all wastewater can be treated biologically; this is also true with our systems. Pollution control the natural way has become a mainstream consideration when engineering a modern wastewater plant. It makes sense to study nature and duplicate this process.

*** Annual O&M savings with AMTS result from :
    - NO sludge handling costs
    - Low electrical costs
    - Low personnel costs

Low cost energy installations

PNW Inc. selected the ADS® system because it uses the least amount of energy per million gallons of water treated and the least amount of dollars per person in blower costs.

Energy and Cost Comparisons of Three Aeration Systems

Exceptional ASCE certified oxygen transfer efficiency with ADS minimizes electrical costs especially in shallow water applications. The bubbles produced by the air diffusers are less than 3 mm in diameter and rise at approximately 0.25 m/s (0.8 ft/sec), providing the highest oxygen transfer efficiency in the aeration industry (15.7% in 1.5m H2O).

High oxygen transfer yields 1/6 the energy cost of surface aerators and with only one moving part, the blower, Air Diffusion Systems average only one hour per day to maintain.

AMTS : How good is your lagoon IQ ?

Lagoons have been under designed for nearly 50 years but with AMTS, that’s a thing of the past…

Typical Facultative Lagoon Effluent
AMTS High Performance Lagoon

    - BOD5 of 40-50 mg/L
    - TSS of 30-40 mg/L
    - TAN of 10-12 mg/L
    - TP of 4-5 mg/L

    - BOD5 of 10 mg/L
    - TSS of 15-20 mg/L
    - TAN of < 1 mg/L
    - TP of < .5 mg/L

When fully installed, AMTS will guarantee results. In most cases, it will achieve 90+% removal with low operating costs, built-in scalability and sludge hauling ONCE A DECADE not EVERYDAY!
