Industrial Water and Wastewater solutions

Introduction

Solutions for water and wastewater treatment are unique for each industries, and depend of the objectives fixed. Pond uses vary significantly and may include:

  Process water and wastewater
  Stormwater management
  Cooling water
  Algae control
  Waste tailings ponds
  Facility/equipment cleaning water
  Dust control
  Storage, Treatment, and Disposal
  Fire protection

Most of the time, existing pond infrastructures are already in place. But not all are meeting existing requirements. Treatment objectives may vary from:

Process Water
Industrial process water treatment is achieved by integrating complete mix or partial mix aeration, biofiltration, or Bioaugmentation.

Storm Water Runoff
Contaminated industrial storm water runoff treated with technologies such as aeration and/or bacterial augmentation reduces environmental impacts to downstream facilities.

Algae control
Algae formation can be a real problem in installation containing filters and such equipement.

Cooling Ponds
Cooling pond optimization with computer modeling results in improved process performance and increased profits.

Evaporation, Algae, Ice formation,Heat Loss...
Industrial pond aeration reduces algae production, ice formation, and eliminates thermal stratification resulting in reduced evaporation.

Bird Control
Waterfowl fatalities and process fouling in industrial ponds can be prevented by covering ponds with a Bird Ball floating cover system.

Odor Control
Odor-producing gases that are associated with anaerobic ponds are controlled with floating cover systems that self-adjust to varied water depths and surface areas.
